Omg this is so much longer then Bobby Jons', but here it goes. If I left anything out, I am sure you will remind me.
First I would like to give props to Rob for hosting the most challenging game I have ever participated in. Even though the challenges were brutal, I survived. I would also like to thank the Prediction Writers for taking the time to be apart of the game.
I would just like to start off by thanking you all for playing this game and making it fun. I have met some great people and I have also forged some new friendships. I just want to say how much of an honor it is to be here sitting in the final two with my friend Bobby Jon
What I want to do here in my opening statement is to convince you, the jurors, that I am deserving of your vote. I have learned a lot about what can be considered "deserving" from this game and the people I have played with. Hopefully, you guys will keep an open mind and give me the opportunity to show you why you should vote for me.
As an active player, I maximized on my strengths to further advance my closest allies and myself. A good player must always stay open to all options, and I think I did that. I seriously considered working with anyone who wanted to work with me and heard him or her out before calculating what would be the best move. In addition, I was able to limit my weaknesses and minimize any errors in my game plan. I may have not played a flawless game, but I had a plan and it was a success getting our alliance of 5 that far.
We started off as one tribe Tikal. Bringing back the two previous players from last season was quit a threat. When they put the tribes together, it changed everything. Our tribe was the strongest; we never went to tribal council until the mutiny merge.
When we were assigned to tribes, my allies from day one were all put on different tribes. It was me on Yaxha, Bobby Jon on Nakum and Jim on Naranjo. Bobby Jon and I had a plan from day one. We would all work together in getting at least one person from our tribe to align with and then find the most trustworthy ones and work all aspects of our plan. Bobby Jon and me had this idea of getting a 5-way alliance. We put Jim up to getting everyone to agree, making him think he was the one who put this all together. We didn’t want Bobby Jon to have a target on his back from day 3, so we made it Jim’s idea. When Naranjo couldn’t hold on any longer and lost three of their tribes mates, it was merge time. We all merged into Nakum and Yaxha, having Brandon on Yaxha with Brooke and Bobby Jon had Jim and Cindy.
Yaxha continued to be the strongest tribe, leading Nakum to boot off their tribe mates one by one. I can say I had no participation in voting any of them off, but I knew where every vote was going at all times. Bobby Jon and me communicated the whole game. He controlled his tribe and worked all possible angles. He was able to work on the boot list making Blake the first target. The two-tribe merged, making Brianna the first to go. Then Bobby Jon bamboozled Stephenie and that was when Ruthie and Judd became suspious of his moves. I mean Bobby Jon did talk Judd into casting his vote for Brianna. He was gaining a lot of control and spinning his webs. At that point Judd and Billy did not like him and wanted him gone.
After that round was when we were offered mutiny. Judd had already made up his mind but didn’t realize that Bobby Jon talked the rest of the tribe to jump, causing 5 to merge on to the Yaxha tribe. We were Tikal once again playing for ourselves at that point. That was when our Fab 5 alliance had to kick into gear and dominate the challenges. Billy mentioned he wanted to go after Bobby Jon or Brandon. I had to inform Bobby Jon that our alliance was in jeopardy. We were aware there were some stragglers and we didn’t have all the numbers. I figured Rafe and Judd were with Billy, and Jamie and Morgan being the sway votes.
I came up with the plan to oust Billy. He was a threat when he entered the game and now we were all on our own. When the endurance challenge came out, Rafe went full force and lasted the longest. Billy then made an attempt at winning that first individual immunity and I had been doing it for 6 hrs when he started. I was worried knowing everyone in our alliance had already been eliminated. I knew I had to do something, so I still played and in the meantime working my strategy to get Billy to drop out. We did, leaving Rafe the winner. I knew this would be the perfect time to make a move. I came up with the plan to oust Billy. I got a chat room started and invited both Jamie and Morgan. Amy was never around; she just went along with us. Morgan wasn’t comfortable with the idea of voting Billy out. It was a plan I constructed and it would be the best move for my alliance. Billy put a lot of pressure on Jamie and Morgan when he caught wind he might be voted out. He was demanding to know who had orchestrated the plan. Rafe was immune and had no clue what was going as well as Judd. They were both dumbfounded when Billy was voted off. Morgan gave up the plan and Jamie turned my name into a target from that moment on.
That was when my game face was on and the plan went into action. We eliminated Ruthie Marie and Amy in a double backward tribal council. We really didn’t want Ruth Marie and Amy on the jury. We changed the boot list again and kept Judd another round. There was the idol challenge and that was when we all started to doubt everyone. We voted out Judd, he obviously didn’t hold the idol. Then we made Rafe think Morgan was next. We obviously knew Rafe didn’t hold it as well. All in all, we still had the numbers and we just continued with the boot list, making Morgan and Jamie next
We then knew one of us would be holding the idol. It came down to our alliance competing against each other for the final 5. Jim became nervous and used his idol to guarantee him in the final 4. Jim made some moves and tried to get me voted out of the game. Jim thought he was doing me a favor by telling me that I was being voted out. Neither did he know, it was Brandon that went instead of me. Winning the final 4 immunity guaranteed me to final three and I felt I had no choice but to vote Jim out knowing that he would of done anything to get to final two and claim it was his idea for this magnificent plan.
I have shown my capabilities as a good strong player. I was always active and reliable. I played this game with the intentions of getting to the final two. I was on a strong tribe and didn’t lose any challenges. No one knew the name Brooke until Billy was voted out. I was targeted as a threat from that moment, but survived 39 days. I outwit, outlasted and outplayed 18 other players. My alliance was strong and loyal till the end. By no means will I take full credit for this whole plan. It was my other four allies that got me where I am sitting before you. I may have not always played this game with honesty and integrity, but I was extremely successful in building trusting alliances that helped me achieve my goal.
I am sorry this opening speech was so long, but I needed to go into every detail and aspect of my game play.
Thank you jury members, I look forward to any questions or comments that you may have.
