Wow, the vote went as planned. As soon as I saw Brooke's name come up I knew we were good. Had Bobby's name popped up I would have known isntantly that I had been duped!
What I'm really surprised about is that I actually feel guilty for voting Brandon out. There's no way he saw it coming. Its really weird because I have never felt guilty about a vote before.
Before the vote Brooke was a little scared that I was going to vote her out. I got her to promise that she would win the final 4 immunity if I kept her around. I also made a deal with her that if somehow Jim wins immunity, that we would both vote for Bobby. Of course, I made the exact same deal with Bobby. I figure that Jim will undoubtedly vote for me next tribal council, so I have to make sure no one else does or we have a tie- or worse!
I also message Jim appologizing for voting out Brandon. I told him straight-out that I was afraid that they would take me out at the final 3. But I told him that I was still 100% committed to going to the final 2 with him, and that my next vote will be for Brooke. I don't expect him to fully believe that, he'd be a fool if he did, but its a lot better than coming right out and telling him that he's next to go. At least now he'll feel like he does have an outside chance of making it through without immunity.
This keeps my options open and could potentially keep him from targetting me. The trick here is to make these kinds of deals BEFORE he wins immunity because then it seems much more sincere. If I wait until he wins immunity and try this kind of thing, its pretty obvious that I'm just trying to save my own ass. Plant the seeds early so they're there for you when you need them. This also potentially gives me the chance to take out Brooke or Bobby even if Jim doesn't have immunity, which is something to consider.
If I make it to the final 2 I know I'm going to have a lot of work trying to convince the jury that I haven't just sat back and done nothing this entire game. But I'm pretty good at knowing what people want to hear and how to subtley sling mud at my opponent. I also have one big secret that no one in this game knows about. Its a pretty massive thing I've been doing the entire game. If I make it I plan on explaining it and while some of them will be pissed off about it, I'm hoping that most of them will respect it enough that I will win them over. If I make the final 3 I'm going to start making notes on the kinds of things I should say if I were to make it to the final 2. This will include my strategie, my big moves, ego stroking, my survival through every tribal council, and subtley attacking whoever sits beside me. I'm also the only person in the game who hasn't received a single vote yet this game. Of course, that could definitely change at the next tribal council!
Let's hope I can make it there!
