The hardest part about manipulating 17 people...is doing it without making myself come across as a huge threat. It obviously worked, at least somewhat, because I'm still here. I did have to do a little more sweet-talking than I would have liked, so hopefully I was able to do it while still looking all cute and cuddly and all that nonsense.
I was expecting four votes against me; three of them were Blake, Danni, and Gary for sure. I assumed Steph was going to be the fourth...but she has been very good at concealing it if she was indeed a part of this conspiracy. Hopefully it was her, but if she was being honest to me and the others, then that means I have a phantom enemy out there...which is always bad. Also, one little side note, things couldn't have worked out better right off the bat, I was actually able to break up the Steph and Danni connection...which has been iron clad in all of their games.
The key players to my success are:
Ruth Marie - A very solid player, experienced host, and someone who knows how I work. If I wasn't on her side, my torch would be snuffed before I could sneeze.
Brooke - I've known this woman since my first day in an ORG, she will be solid with me all the way to the final 2, and we MUST keep our bond as discrete as possible. She has also brought along a solid alliance, Jim, to Guatemala..apparently she "owes" him something and that is why she is loyal to him. He trusts her completely, so I will in turn know every move he makes...this is vital since he is as strategic as I am.
Judd - A genius, pure and simple. I have spent more energy trying to get close to this guy than anyone else thus far. If I actually end up getting him inside my circle, he will be a perfect final four pawn. I'm also pretty sure he has something secret going on with Brianna...whether they are simply "friends with benefits" or something more I have yet to discover.
Brandon - Come to find out, this fella lives about 20 minutes away from me!!! This is incredible considering the odds of such a thing actually happening in the world of ORGs. I see him as a huge possible ally, but I'm hoping he is the one that proposes it. If, within a week, he doesn't do it, I'll just step up and offer the alliance. I've already told him I'll toilet paper his house if he votes me out...that will have to do for now. He is getting closer to Brooke than I would have liked, but I suppose it will make it easier later on.
Cindy - So far, Cindy reminds me of my "Wanda" from Maluku (only Rob will understand this reference). Hopefully this time the girl will ACTUALLY be as innocent, naive, and trusting as she appears to be.
Tribes are made, precisely how Billy and I predicted...Ruth Marie and Billy chose them. I am happy with the turn-out; things are falling into place quite nicely. I have a strong connection with at least two people in each tribe, so it should not be too difficult to control the votes in every Tribal Council from this point on.
In Nakum, Blake will be the first gone, and then Amy will be next. Over at the Yaxha camp, the power will be in Billy and Judd's hands, but I am counting on Brooke to snuggle in with those boys to secure her position. Rafe and Jamie will be the early targets in this tribe, unless Brianna and Brooke do something horribly wrong. Finally, Naranjo...the "kids that weren't picked on the playground"...this little band of misfits will require a bit of manipulation on my part. With a little bit of elbow grease, I should be able to pull Jim, Brandon, and Cindy together. Lydia, Margaret, and Brian are all worthless to me, so I really don't care which of those go home first.
P.S. Wisdom has two parts; having a lot to say...and not saying it...why can I not follow my own advice?
Edit: I suppose if I'm going to use the word "genius" I should at least spell the dam thing correctly...
